About Amore Sandys Hundezucht

Our family coat of arms originated in the residence of Ombersley Court in the United Kingdom of the 1500s. A passion for dogs and their breeding is very deeply rooted in us, as for many English noble families of the time. Grandfather Austin Ledyard Sands, who was an expert in breeding wild dogs as well as Irish wolfhound breeds, wrote and published the book "The Bird, the Gun and the Dog" in 1939, which is still available today. He passed on his passion to his son Austin Ladyard Sands Junior, who started breeding English Setters and Fox Terrier breeds in 1950. A very strong imprint, was thus, of course, also transferred to our generation. Thus, since 1975 the breeding of the breeds German Great Dane, as well as Whipped, actually began among us. An interesting surprise, however, met us in 2013, when we found a photo of a beautiful dog called Talan on the Internet. After a not so simple search for information about this unknown and wonderful breed, we discovered after our search for this breed, our first female, the Yakut Laika (Arsuri 2015). Consequently to Arsuri, another female joined (Malva 2016). A year later, we had our first litter, which we owe to our search for a strong male from Poland. Our breeding was later enriched by further specimens of this breed (males and females). In those years, this breed of dog was not yet recognized in Italy, so it was not possible to obtain the Italian pedigree.

Aware that our life was now connected with the breeding of this breed, we decided to move our residence and breeding to neighboring Slovenia, where, unlike Italy, this breed was recognized. We are proud of our achievements so far and always try to follow the path our puppies follow in their families. In many European countries there are dogs from our kennel. Some take part in sports activities with the dogs (sled dog, agility), while others take part in beauty contests and, last but not least, they are taken to pet therapy.
